AlaMark is a separate, but wholly owned corporation. The parent company is Alamo Iron Works (AIW) of San Antonio, Texas, a 126 year-old distributor of industrial and mill supplies, one of the largest in the southwestern United States. In 1997, AIW began developing proprietary software tools that would enable it to manage all of it's publishing and marketing needs. The set of software tools was originally called ADPIM, Advanced Database Publishing and Integrated Marketing System.
In 2001, AlaMark was formed as a software and solutions provider and ADPIM was further developed, utilized and perfected by AIW. The legal formation of AlaMark Technologies and AlaMark Catalogs marked the official beginning of the new company. ADPIM was changed to SupplyConnect PRO™ and the technology was patented under the AlaMark brand.
AlaMark continues to develop and implement proprietary software solutions, including SupplyConnectPRO™, the most advanced database publishing and integrated marketing system available. As we continue to invest in research and software development, we are bringing additional enhancements to SupplyConnect PRO™ and products to market, such as PDAConnect™ and e-BusinessConnect™. We have also developed user forums to stay close to our customers and to continually improve our tools and processes.
