Class Times
Class times are 8:00 - 5:00 each day. We pack a full day of instruction into every day’s class so our students can have ample time to ask questions and receive the proper instruction for each days lesson plan.

Introduction to FileMaker Pro (2 days)
Intended for FileMaker Pro users just getting started with FileMaker--the Knowledge Worker. Learn how to create and maintain a FileMaker Pro database for use in your company, school or business. This course includes a short introduction to databases in general. It covers how to create and utilize FileMaker databases to store and organize information so that it is available for efficient retrieval.
Our classes are a full 8 hours each day (2 days, 8am-5pm) so we can cover a lot more topics, get much more practice and even have time to review your own FileMaker applications if you bring them with you!
We provide free pizza on day one and the course includes your student manual and CD with lessons and tutorials.
PREREQUISITES: Good familiarity with Windows or Mac desktop functionality; basic familiarity with spreadsheet, word processing, and page layout programs; no experience with FileMaker necessary. Includes the following topics:

Intermediate FileMaker Professional Training Series (3 days)
Intended for FileMaker Pro users who want to expand their knowledge of the FileMaker Pro feature set. Learn how to plan a database, explore and create relational databases, and how to take advantage of the power of FileMaker Pro to develop more sophisticated solutions for your business. Obtain training in the use of portals and relationships allowing sharing of data across a network with mixed platforms.
PREREQUISITES: Intro to FileMaker or equivalent experience.
Includes the following topics:

Advanced FileMaker Professional Training Series (3 days)
Intended for FileMaker Pro end-users and developers who want to learn how to push the FileMaker Pro feature set to the limits. Students should have experience developing multi-file relational FileMaker Pro databases and writing complex scripts. Includes instructions to share a database on a network and configure a database as a multi-user file; create a database for the web, define fields for a web database and add graphics in a database; do instant web publishing; secure a database on a network; work with advanced layout tools and techniques; create field validation to ensure accurate and complete entry. PREREQUISITES: Intermediate FileMaker or equivalent experience. Includes the following topics:

Students who sign up for more than one class at once will receive a 10% discount on the second or third class. This offer cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.
Class Schedules
The Introduction and Intermediate classes are normally scheduled for the second week of each month with the Introduction class offered Monday and Tuesday followed immediately by the Intermediate class for those students who wish to attend both classes during one trip.
The Advanced classes are normally offered the 4th week of the month on a quarterly basis. (July, October, January, and April).

Instructors
All training is provided by practicing consultants who are nationally recognized FileMaker experts. AlaMark has been delivering award winning, real world solutions and training customers on FileMaker based solutions for the Knowledge Worker throughout America and Canada since 1999.
Class Settings
We have two classrooms available in our training facility and all classes are taught by trained instructors in a comfortable hands-on learning environment.
Facilities
A fully supplied break room is provided for snacks, refreshments and meals including microwaves, refrigerator and cafeteria seating for up to 30 students. Ample parking is available in our own parking facility free of charge.
Location
We are located at 943 AT&T Center Parkway, just up the street form the AT&T Center which is home of the NBA Spurs basketball facility here in San Antonio. AlaMark is about a 20 minute drive from the airport and only 7 minutes from downtown San Antonio.
Hotels
The San Antonio - Northeast Pear Tree Inn is only 10 minutes from AlaMark and offers a free breakfast each morning. The standard non-smoking room with two full sized beds and high-speed internet is $57.99 plus tax. You must ask for the AlaMark Technologies rate. There are plenty of hotels in the nearby downtown area many along the historic San Antonio River-walk. You can go to www.mysanantonio.com and search for ‘downtown hotels’ to find many options as well as info about entertainment and other points of interest.
